Justice for Bee-Clean Janitors

UPDATE [03/11/20 9 AM EST] - Janitors have voted to ratify their first collective agreement.

UPDATE [30/10/20 9:12 PM EST] - Janitors have reached a tentative deal for their first collective agreement with Bee-Clean Building Maintenance.

Janitors of Bee-Clean Building Maintenance in British Columbia have been bargaining for over a year to win a fair work contract. In response, Bee-Clean has used every delay tactic in the book and has offered workers a deal that does not even reach minimum city-wide standards in BC’s janitorial sector. This is unacceptable in normal times and appalling during a global pandemic. Bee-Clean workers have had enough and are demanding a fair contract now!

Why is Canada’s largest janitorial contractor...

  1. Not paying wages that keep pace with rising standards in the janitorial industry?
  2. Not providing adequate sick days?
  3. Refusing to provide health and dental benefits for all of its employees?
